US pop singer Taylor Swift was caught on camera at this year's MTV Video Music Awards telling One Direction to 'shut the fuck up' as the UK boyband took to the stage to collect an award at the US show.
The 'I Knew You Were Trouble' singer famously dated singer Harry Styles in 2012, and seemed less than impressed as the UK group took to the stage at the Brooklyn show last night.
Leaning over to Selena Gomez as the boyband spoke to cameras, she is seen saying 'shut the fuck up', after singer Zayn Malik says "the best fans are in New York" - much to the amusement of Gomez. MTV has rushed to remove all videos of the awards ceremony from online, but the incident has been captured forever in an animated gif.

One Direction were collecting the prestigious Best Song Of The Summer award for their release 'Best Song Ever' while Taylor Swift took home the Best Female Video award for her track, 'I Knew You Were Trouble'.
Swift is no stranger to upstaged awards speeches at the MTV VMAs, but at least she kept her issues to the audience. The singer was infamously interrupted by Kanye West at the 2009 awards ceremony, the rapper angry that she had won over Beyonce.
