Queens Of The Stone Age have poked fun at Miley Cyrus's controversial performance at the MTV Video Music Awards as they announced a new live show in the same location as this year's VMAs.
The extra tour date, scheduled for December 14, is to take place in the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn, the same venue where the infamous twerking incident took place.
The band's statement read, "On December 14 Brooklyn, New York's Barclays Center will be designated as a (relatively) twerk-free-zone as QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE will play its debut headline engagement at the arena, restricting teddy bears to the merch table and returning guitars, drums and other such live instruments to the Barclays stage."

The news comes whilst the band are in the middle of their huge European and US tour, following the release of their long awaited Like Clockwork album. They are set to appear at the ITunes festival in London on September 6.
