Angel Haze: 'I'm like the fourth Haim sister - honorary Jew sh*t'

Rapper speaks of her love for rock music

Angel Haze has spoken of her friendship with Haim and her love of rock music and more 'unexpected' influences. See our video interview with the rapper above.

Speaking to Gigwise backstage at Reading Festival, we asked Haze who her favourite act on the line-up was.

"Haim, definitely," she replied. "They're really, really cool - I'm like the fourth Haim sister. Honorary Jew shit."

Playing at a predominantly rock-based festival, Haze said that she felt comfortable performing there as she is a huge fan of the genre - even performing a cover of 'Revelry' by Kings of Leon during her set.

"I like Train, Coldplay, New Radicals, The Beatles, The Beach Boys - I guess all really old shit like Metallica," said Haze. " I even like Steel Dragon and I know they're not a real band, but they've got really good songs so 'Stand Up And Shout' is my shit."

She added: "Flyleaf, Paramore - I've got so many different bands that I'm into at the moment."

Angel Haze also unveiled her incredible new single 'Echelon' last night
