The 1975 have revealed their new single, 'Girls', taken from their long-awaited, self-titled, debut album. Check it out below.

The track was premiered on Zane Lowe's Radio One show, where it was named his 'hottest record in the world'. The track is the third official single from the album, following Top 40 hits 'Chocolate', 'The City' and 'Sex'.

'Girls' has all the hallmarks of The 1975, with Matt Healy's distinctive, rapid-fire vocals, cute guitar licks and dark lyrics masked by the upbeat nature of the track.

The band release their debut album next week, (2 September, 2013) and have already prepped seven new tracks for a follow up. Discussing the debut album and their plans for a follow-up, Matt Healy told us at this year's Kendal Calling festival: "It's our life in 16 songs. We've already written about 7 songs for the next album and we just released a 39 track debut deluxe album. We don't need to be releasing another album for a while but we're writing it for sure."
