UK rockers You Me At Six have called on their fans to help them get new single 'Lived A Lie' into the Official Charts' Top Ten, after the track's surprise release on Tuesday of this week.

The band premiered the new track on Zane Lowe's Radio One show on Monday of this week, with the track being available to purchase from midnight that night. 'Lived A Lie' shot straight into the iTunes Top Ten and is currently at No.11 in the midweek charts. The band have taken to Twitter to urge fans to buy copies of the track, and score them their first Top Ten hit.

"So as we said a lot yesterday we are number 2 in the @iTunesMusic singles chart," the band wrote on Twitter. "But we've just been told we are Number 11 in the official top 40 singles chart. Would really REALLY be incredible to have our first top 10."

"So the mid week chart positions are out, and we can definitely do this! So SIXERS, unite and let's do it!"

The video received almost 100,000 views on YouTube in less than 24 hours of going online.

The band have released three studio albums, with each achieving Gold status in the UK. Sinners Never Sleep was their highest charting track to date, giving the rockers a No.3 hit in October of 2011.

The band headlined a huge London gig at Wembley Arena at the end of 2012, named The Final Night Of Sin.
