Recorded specially for the soundtrack of new teen movie The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, 'Atlas' sees the UK band are their most downbeat and melancholy, on a delicate piano ballad which bears all the hallmarks of Coldplay at their finest.

'Atlas' will be the first track released the movie soundtrack, which reunites Jennifer Lawrence with co-star Liam Hemsworth for a second round of brutal battles in the futuristic franchise. 'Atlas' will be released as a single later this month, on 26 August.
The band shared the lyrics for the track online in early August, 2013. Check them out below.
Speaking of his admiration for the band, the movie's director, Francis Lawrence, reveals that he was 'thrilled' to have Coldplay on board for the movie sequel.
"I have great respect and admiration for Coldplay, and we are thrilled with how well they have connected to the themes and ideas within the film," the director said in a statement. "Their unwavering passion and excitement for the project elevated the collaboration even further, and we can’t wait to share this music with audiences around the world."
