Katy Perry has premiered the video for her new single 'Roar', ahead of inevitably topping the UK singles chart this weekend.
It would take a pop music shake up of monumental proportions to prevent Perry from toppling Ellie Goulding from No.1 this week, as 'Roar' is on course to be the fastest selling single of 2013 - and could sell more in one week than Avicii did with his chart topper, 'Wake Me Up'.
Perry's jungle-themed video sees the star survive a plane crash in the jungle (With only a male model and a camera phone for company). After her companion is mauled to death by a tiger, she survives jungle horrors to become a Tarzan-esque figure, wrestling alligators and showering naked under an elephant's spray.

Katy Perry took an easy victory on this week's midweek singles chart, as 'Roar' dethrones Ellie Gouling after a three-week run at No.1 with her single, 'Burn'.
By Wednesday this week, Perry had sold nearly 103,000 copies of the first release from her third studio album, and is on track to score the fastest selling single of 2013. The record is currently held by Avicii with his own chart topper, 'Wake Me Up', which sold over 266,000 copies in its week of release in July.
