If you were to throw Jake Bugg, Jamie T and a sprinkle of nineties influences into a big pot and mix them up, we reckon the end result would look (and sound) a little something like Niall Galvin aka Only Real.

At the young age of 22, Only Real has already shown impressive song-writing abilities, combining his gritty lyrics and vocal tone with drowning guitar twangs and soulful harmonies. His quick wit and cleverly penned rhymes have already caught the attention of Radio DJs and deemed Only Real a rising star with a dishevelled edge.

His Facebook page says the genre of music he makes is "baby music for babies", though 'indie/stoner-rock' is probably a better description of the sounds floating their way out of new EP, Days In The City. With influences taken from the rollercoaster ride of living in West London, whilst listening to tracks such as 'Get It On' it's no real surprise to learn that his music is recorded in a small bedroom on faulty equipment.

Only Real provides sunshine-happy beats with a grungey twist that you'd expect to find playing in a dusty old record store hidden away in East London. Signed to Luv, Luv, Luv, the same label who hold the likes of Theme Park and Willy Moon under their wing, it's fairly certain that Only Real is destined for great things in the future.
