Kings of Leon have unveiled an epic brand new track from their upcoming album, Mechanical Bull. Listen to 'Beautiful War' below.
The track was unveiled by Zane Lowe on BBC Radio One, where the 'Sex On Fire' rockers discussed how the song had been around since 2008.
"I think that if people can't appreciate 'Beautiful War' then they can't appreciate anything, really," frontman Caleb Followill. "I've been playing that song for the guys for quite a while now. I wrote it the weekend that I wrote 'Use Somebody' - it was on two pages, 'Use Somebody' was on one page and the very next page was 'Beautiful War."
Caleb then went on to reveal that he doesn't remember recording the track as 'things got a little rowdy' in the studio, but then producer Angelo Petraglia encouraged the band to rework the song into something more upbeat before it went to become the first track that the band recorded for Mechanical Bull.

Kings of Leon will release their upcoming sixth album on 24 September, 2013. The band have previously revealed that the sound of the record leans more towards the energy of their earlier work, but is more 'musically complicated'.
