Mercury Prize nominees Disclosure have spoken out in praise of London Grammar - claiming that the hotly-tipped trio strongly deserve to have been shortlisted for the award as well. Watch our video interview with the band above.
Speaking to Gigwise at the Mercury announcement ceremony last night, the dance duo paid tribute to the numerous artists that collaborated with them on their debut album, Settle.
"I was actually quite surprised that London Grammar weren't nominated," said Guy Lawrence. "I think their album fully deserved it, but every artist on our album contributed to it so they're as much a part of it as we are."
Brother Howard added: "AlunaGeorge were in with a shout too, but with James (Blake), us and Rudimental, that's kind of the dance side of things done. I guess there's not enough room for everyone else, but they totally deserve it. If there was space for London Grammar and AlunaGeorge then they should be on.
