Bastille and The 1975 are celebrating after breaking into the Billboard 200 chart in the United States with their debut albums.
Bad Blood by Bastille has entered at No.11 after making it as high as No.2 in the iTunes US chart, while the self-titled UK No.1 debut by The 1975 has landed at No.28. Both acts are due to start touring the States shortly.
The chart placings now make both bands the highest-ranking British acts on the Billboard 200 - currently being dominated US singer and actress Ariana Grande whose debut album Yours Truly sold over 138,000 copies last week. Elsewhere, R&B singer Tamar Braxton is at No.2, Nine Inch Nails come in at No.3 with Hesitation Marks and John Legend's Love In The Future is at No.5. Country singer Luke Bryan completes the top 5 with Crash My Party.
