Arctic Monkeys look set to crack the top 10 in the US album chart Billboard 200 for the first time since 2007 with their fifth LP, AM.
The Sheffield rockers have soared up the Stateside charts after clocking up 35,000 sales of the record in its first week. Billboard predict that healthy sales should land the LP in the top 10, as nearest rivals Imagine Dragons stand at No.10 after shifting 35,000 copies of Night Visions last week and with AM currently at No.6 on iTunes US's albums chart.
The band have only ever made it into the US top 10 once before, with their second album Favourite Worst Nightmare peaking at No.7 in 2007. Arctic Monkeys' debut, Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not reached No.24 in 2006, while Humbug made it to 15 and Suck It And See landed at 14.
The band have seen an increased profile in the US in recent years after acclaimed TV and festival slots and supporting The Black Keys on their last arena tour.
