MKS claim they’re not bothered about comeback single ‘Flatline’ flopping, insisting they care more about the album and “not just the singles”.

The Dev Hynes-produced track was critically acclaimed but charted disappointingly, peaking at No.50 in the UK charts.

Keisha Buchanan told Digital Spy: “I don't think our song got lost on the radio. I think there were certain things that happened behind the scenes that couldn't be helped. Our goal was to put a song out that people liked and we think we've done that.”

''If we wanted to record an easy throwaway hit then we would have put something out back in 2010 after we first met up.

''We didn't because we won't compromise our music and we're here for the long haul. Also, it's all about the album really and not just the singles for us.''

Watch the video for 'Flatline' below:

‘Flatline’ is the first single from the trio since Siobhan Donaghy left the ‘original Sugababes’ way back in 2001, after their debut album ‘One Touch’ was released. The band then went through several different line-ups over the years, until there were no more original members left.

The founding members, Keisha, Siobhan and Mutya Buena decided to reform this year.

Speaking about their upcoming UK tour, which begins in November, Siobhan spoke of the band’s excitement to unleash their new material onto their fans: ''We've been dying to get the music out there and it's been a long time coming. It's great to start the campaign and get going with the tour. The tour is what it's all about really as our live performance is such an important part of what we are. In that respect, the single has done the job it was meant to do.'
