The 20th Anniversary Edition of Nirvana's classic and final album In Utero is released today - featuring the previously unheard track 'Forgotten Tune'. Listen to it below.

The song is an instrumental, showcasing Kurt Cobain and co at the height of their relentless, unhinged and uncompromising brilliance.

Speaking to NPR about the origins of the track, bassist Krist Novoselic said: "We found it and were like, what is this song? And I don’t really remember, and [we were], like, what do you want to call it? And I’m like, I don’t want to give it a name, so let’s just call it 'Forgotten Tune' and let people make up their own minds what it is.

"But I remember the main riff in that tune was, like, from 1988 or something. Just trying to, like, bring back a riff. 'All Apologies' was from 1990, and 'Dumb' was a pre-'Nevermind' song."

The 20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition of In Utero is a multi-format release across three discs and a DVD, that features more than 70 re-mastered, remixed, rare, unreleased and live recordings.
