Brookes passed away last month, three years after being diagnosed with a brain tumour after being with the band since they formed in 1989. The band have now announced details of a tribute gig in London in Octoberto pay their respects to Brookes.

It is currently unconfirmed whether Gallagher will be performing with The Charlatans or appearing but Beady Eye, but all future shows from BE have been thrown into doubt after it emerged that guitarist Gem Archer has broken his leg while recovering from a fractured skull.

"Following the loss of our much missed friend and drummer, Jon Brookes, we, together with some friends, are putting on a show at the Royal Albert Hall," say The Charlatans in an official statement announcing the gig.
"It's our way of raising money for research into and awareness of a cancer that will unfortunately affect many lives as it has ours."
The show will take place on 18 October, 2013. Tickets are on sale now. For more information, visit Gigwise Gig Tickets.
