Kings of Leon are sitting pretty at the No.1 spot in the mid-week album charts, but they're being closely chased by new releases from Drake and Jessie J.
Though the sales are extremely close, Kings of Leon and their sixth studio album Mechanical Bull have taken the top spot, knocking Sheffield rockers Arctic Monkeys down to the No.4 spot with AM. If they can stick it out until Sunday, Mechanical Bull will be the band's fourth UK chart topper.
Following closely behind are Drake with Nothing Was The Same, which will provide the rapper with his highest charting UK release to date (No.2) and female pop songstress Jessie J, who sits at No.3 with her second album, Alive.

Also hitting the top 10 this week are Scottish trio CHVRCHES, with their debut album The Bones Of What You Belive at No.6 and young singer-songwriter Birdy, with her second album Fire Within, which sits just behind at No.7.
