Lily Allen promises new album won't be about being a mum

Lily Allen will make her return to the pop world in 2014, and the outspoken star has promised that her third solo studio album won't be about her role as a young mum.

The star previously confirmed plans to release new music in March next year, and has now revealed she hopes to return to her hell-raising ways on an empowering, 'feminist' record.

"It’s not an earnest ‘I’m a mum’ kind of record," she says, as quoted by The Mirror. "It’s empowering. There’s some feminist vibes going on. It’s the same old me with a bit of swearing going on."

"Being a mother is great but if you are a creative person you have that urge to get back out," she adds, revealing that being a stay-at-home mum is not for her. "It’s about creating and doing something else with your time.

"There’s only so much children’s TV and Lego you can play with before you go f***ing insane."

Allen has already ticked one action of her comeback to-do list, having already experienced a Twitter feud with Azealia Banks.

Banks appeared to start the online scrap in July of this year by labelling Lily as 'weak' and even stating that her husband, Sam Cooper is 'ugly'.

The rapper posted: "weak... she can't talk though... NOT with that ugly husband she has." She then added, "@lilyrosecooper your husband looks like a thumb."

Although the '212' star is well-known for her Twitter wars, Lily couldn't resist biting back as she claimed Banks was a 'one hit wonder' and a 'wannabe' who was just using the feud as a form of self-promotion.
