Lady Gaga has today revealed that she is in the 'final days' of finishing off her long-awaited third album, ARTPOP.
The Fame star took to Twitter to give a little insight into her mindset while putting the finishing touches to the record.
Gaga tweeted:
in the final days finishing ARTPOP. i feel like an atelier. refining seams. ironing fabrics. needling the last thread of my couture creation

For those of you that don't speak French, an 'atelier' is an archaic phrase for an artist with a workshop full of assistants. It sounds like Gaga is taking a fair bit of pride and attention to detail in making this album.
Fans are awaiting Gaga's new album after hearing only the single 'Applause' which received a mixed response upon release. The 'Telephone' singer also returned to the live stage ealier this month, performing a set of ARTPOP material at the opening of the iTunes Festival in London.

The concert marked Gaga's first major performance since undergoing surgery earlier this year. As a result, she commented that she 'felt like a Frankenstein' returning to playing concerts. Gaga was forced to cancel a string of live shows earlier in 2013 to undergo hip surgery. Discussing her injury and the cancelled shows, Gaga revealed in an interview the BBC that feeling her muscles 'waking up', makes her feel like Frankenstein.
"I'm reawakening my muscles. I'm dancing the same way I've always danced and going in with no fear, but I can feel my muscles sort of spasming and waking up as I'm dancing and it's kind of exciting. I feel like Frankenstein," she said in the interview, also revealing that her main concern was that the injury would force her to quit pop altogether.
"I think the fear was more before [surgery] that I would never be able to do this again," she added. "I was nervous, sure. I mean, when the tour ended, I love my fans more than anything, I love making music and I surely love being a star for everyone, but I more love being an entertainer."
ARTPOP is due to be released in November via an app, with the tracklisting (apparently) being unveiled in three days time, on the 29 September.
