'Roar' superstar Katy Perry closed the iTunes Festival with a short but sweet set last night in London, as the month long event at the Camden Roundhouse came to an end.

For the final night at the intimate venue, the star took to the stage for 5000 iTunes festival winners.

Before Katy belted out her hits, the crowed were warmed up by dance duo Icona Pop and rapper Iggy Azalea, who put on suitably energetic performances to get the audience going.

Eventually it was time for the main event, hidden behind a white screen the Californian starlet whipped the crowd into a frenzy before opening her set with her new promotional track ‘Walking On Air’ from her upcoming album ‘Prism.’

Katy did not hold back on the production for her 45 minute set which was complete with moveable sets, slick backing dancers and lots of colourful lasers. Considering it was such a short set Katy still managed three outfit changes, the last of which included an LED skirt which lit up to show a tiger.

Visual distractions aside, Katy’s voice was in good shape and she barely used her backing singers to help her out. Katy’s vocal were particularly strong during the performance of a previously unheard track called ‘By The Grace Of God’ which was the first track she wrote for Prism. The slow ballad gave the audience a break from dancing and screaming, however the reprieve was soon over when Katy broke into ‘Part Of Me’ followed by ‘Firework’ both of which produced mass sing alongs.

To close the show, and the festival, the stage was set up in the style of a boxing ring for Katy to perform her most recent No.1 single ‘Roar.’ Complete with her light-up skirt and a skipping rope which Katy then threw into the crowd of adoring fans, the singer went through the motions before taking the final bow of a month long of live music.

It may not have been the most spontaneous or lengthy performance but Katy Perry proved that she can still pack a punch live.
