Drake has announced his plans to become a global ambassador for the Toronto Raptors basketball team.
The role will see the rapper representing his hometown by rebranding the team's image and promoting the city as an important sports destination. Drake, real name Aubrey Graham, will also take on a creative role in redesigning the team's kits.
The 'Started From the Bottom' rapper praised his city during a press attendance.
"I'm extremely passionate about two things: my city and my family," he said. "Being up here with my new family, these gentlemen, I'm extremely excited…everywhere I go I reach the gospel that is Toronto. I love this city with all my heart."
He also told ESPN: "Today's probably one of the best days of my life."
