US superstar Rihanna has praised Princess Diana and her fashion choices, claiming that the much-loved Royal was a 'gangsta'.
The 'What Now' pop sensation named Diana Spencer as her fashion icon in a new interview, in which she was asked to name her fashion icon. Needless to say, her answer wasn't what might have been expected.
"You know who is the best who ever did it? Princess Diana," says Rihanna in a new interview with Glamour magazine. "She was like - she killed it. Every look was right. She was gangsta with her clothes. She had these crazy hats. She got oversize jackets. I loved everything she wore!"
Rihanna is currently on her Diamonds world tour, but was this week booed at her gig in Adelaide, Australia, after she was an hour and twenty minutes late on stage.
Due on stage at 9pm, Rihanna eventually made an appearance at 10:20pm, and was met by boos by her audience. She stated during the show that it had taken her a long time to reach Australia, but offered no apology to angry fans.
Fans took to Twitter to criticse the star, with audience members calling the performance 'disappointing' and pointing out her miming during the show.
