A new study by scientists shows that dance music helps increase brain activity.
Psychology Today reports that researchers at Imperial College London have completed two studies into the benefits of dancing on the mind, and how it can help improve balance and reduce dizziness.
One of the articles produced by researches maintains that including some type of dance with regular aerobic training at least once a week can do the trick.
The study mainly focused around professional ballet dancers, who over the years train their brain to supress the feeling of dizziness. It is hoped that with further investigation researchers can begin to understand how to treat patients with chronic dizziness.
Dr. Barry Seemungal of Imperial College stating: "If we can target that same brain area or monitor it in patients with chronic dizziness, we can begin to understand how to treat them better."
