Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis has revealed that they're close to securing two of next year's festival headliners.

Tickets for the Worthy Farm bash go on sale on Sunday, and rumour is rife as to who will top the bill in 2014. Speaking to NME this week, the Eavis family say that they're 'close' to confirming two of the three acts.

"We are away in Cornwall this week and I've just been talking to an agent on the phone on the beach in the rain about one of our headliners," said Emily. "We're definitely getting close to securing two and there are a few options for the third. It's annoying really as there are lots of great bands touring next year and we'd love to have them all.

"But rest assured, it's going to be one hell of a show - maybe even the best yet!"

Main ticket sales will open at 9am on Sunday 6 October, while coach packages will be available tonight (Thursday 3 October) at 6pm. For the first time in Glastonbury history, 15,000 coach and ticket deals will be available ahead of general ticket sales.

Fleetwood Mac are among the favourites for Glasto 2014

Glasto boss Michael Eavis has previously spoken out about next year's headliners, claiming that the acts have never headlined the event before and are 'pretty obvious'.

Speaking to BBC Newsbeat, Eavis said that this year's event would be 'hard to beat', but that he was already thinking about acts for Glastonbury 2015.

"I don't believe that we can top what we did this year, the weather was perfect," he said. "The Stones were absolutely brilliant, all the other stuff we're doing in the southeast corner was absolutely fantastic. I'm not going to say we can do it better 'cause we can't, that was the ultimate festival this year! Downhill all the way now. I've had 44 years of an incredible career and we're still milking the old cows as well."

Speaking about the acts he has lined up for next year's event, Eavis continued: "Pretty obvious isn't it? There aren't many left. It's the process of elimination isn't it? I think we've got three or four really good ones lined up for next year and we're sorting out 2015 as well. I take the liberty of booking the headliners myself."
