Azealia Banks stormed offstage after a fan threw a can at her head whilst she was performing in Melbourne. Check out the incident below.
Banks had been on stage at the Listen Out festival for a reported 90 seconds when she shut down her set. The Harlem rapper had been performing new single 'ATM Jam' when an audience member hurled the object.
Banks instantly set down her microphone and exited the stage, later taking to Twitter to apologise to any disappointed festival goers, saying: "Sorry to all the festival-goers in Melbourne !!!!! See ya tomorrow in Brisbane !!!!!" Oddly, the infamously outspoken '212' star made no mention of the incident.
She has since issued a statement regarding the show, revealing she quit the stage due to safety concerns. It read: "Azealia Banks was forced to cut her set short at the Listen Out Festival in Melbourne on 5th October 2013. This was as a result of a member of the audience throwing a full can of beer at her on stage. The incident made Azealia and her stage crew feel unsafe. Banks would like to apologise to those fans in the audience whose experience was affected by the behaviour of one individual.
"Azealia went on to perform a full live set at the Listen Out Festival in Brisbane the next day (Sunday 6th October). Her performance went ahead without incident and received a rapturous response from the crowd."

Fresh from a spat with Lady Gaga, in which Banks accused the 'Applause' singer of copying her style, the 'Yung Rapunxel' rapper is reported to be featuring on a remix of Britney Spear's 'Work Bitch'.
