Haim have shot to No.1 in the UK album chart with their debut release, Days Are Gone, beating Justin Timberlake to the top spot with his second album of 2013, The 20/20 Experience, 2 of 2.
Despite taking an early lead in the midweek charts, by Friday of this week, there were just 28 sales between Haim and JT, which the 'Falling' stars closed over the weekend, emerging as this week's album chart champions. Haim are No.1, Justin Timberlake No.2, while last week's chart topper, Mechanical Bull by Kings Of Leon, drops to No.3. Arctic Monkeys' AM is at No.4 and Drake's Nothing Was The Same is at No.5.
Alter Bridge enter at No.6 with Fortress and Dizzee Rascal debuts at No.10 with his new album, The Fifth. Sub Focus is new at No.11 with Torus, Moby enters at No.35 with Innocents and Metallica's new movie soundtrack, Through The Never, enters at No.26. Status Quo enter at No.37 with The Frantic Four Reunion and Kids In Glass Houses are at No.40 with Peace.

On the single's chart, One Republic claim their first ever UK No.1 with their current hit, Counting Stars, while new boyband The Vamps enter at No.2. Jason Derulo drops to No.3 with 'Talk Dirty' and Katy Perry's 'Roar' slips to No.4. Chase & Status score a new hit at No.5 with their release, 'Count On Me'.
Elsewhere, Dizzee Rascal debuts at No.10 with new single 'Something Really Bad' and X Factor star Lucy Spraggan entes at No.18 with her 'Last Night (Beer Fear)'. Nelly enters at No.19 with his Nicki Minaj and Pharrell Williams collaboration 'Get Like Me', Fuse ODG is new at No.30 with 'Azonto' and Two Door Cinema Club score their first ever UK Top 40 hit, as 'Changing Of The Seasons' enters at No.33.
