Ex Cream drummer Ginger Baker has expressed his apathy and distate for the Rolling Stones, saying he wouldn't go near one of their live shows.
Never one to hide his real feelings, Baker has hit out at his fellow musicians including The Who, Bob Dylan but most importantly the Stones including his friend friend drummer Charlie Watts. A notroriously difficult interview subject he proved particularly confrontational in a new Rolling Stone interview in which he even threw out some of the interviewers questions saying: 'you guys always get everything wrong'.
Baker stated: 'I mean Charlie [Watts] is a great friend of mine. I think the world of Charlie. When I was living in the States, Charlie came to see me at my house and he said, 'I’d give you some tickets but I know you would never go!' I won’t go within 10 miles of a Rolling Stones gig.'
When pressed as to why Baker responded: "They’re not good musicians, that’s why. The best musician in the Stones is Charlie by a country mile."

Asked about The Who Baker responded "Keith Moon was a friend of mine but I wouldn't say he was a great drummer'. As for Bob Dylan he simply responded 'I'm not a fan of anybody'."
Baker has openly admitted that that he has not rehearsed for over 50 years, doesn't listen to any music and has absolutely no intention of touring with Cream ever again. In the interview he simply states: 'I'm the drummer. I play drums - enough'.
