'David Brent' took to the stage last night for the first of his two October gigs at London's Bloomsbury Theatre. Check out the iconic star performing 'Free Love Freeway' below.
David Brent is, of course, the comedy creation of Ricky Gervais, and tickets for his London shows were some of the most-wanted of the year, selling out in just 60 seconds when they went on sale at the end of September. Gervais performed Brent classics, with his band Foregone Conclusion, including 'Life On The Road', 'Slough' and 'Thank Fuck It's Friday'. He was also joined on stage by comedian Doc Brown, playing the role of rapper Dom Johnson, likening the duo's performance to Jay Z and Coldplay's Chris Martin's performance at London's O2 on the weekend.
Gervais closed the Brent show with a performance of his track 'Free Love Freeway'. Watch it below.
Among Gervais' backing band was former Razorlight star Andy Burrows, and rumours are circulating that the pair may team up to record a full album together.
Gervais's London setlist is as below:
'Ooh La La'
'Life On The Road'
'Slough'
'Thank Fuck It's Friday'
'Spaceman Came Down'
'Lady Gypsy'
'Equality Street'
'Lonely Cowboy'
Ain't No Trouble'
