Controversial American singer Robin Thicke was recently the victim of a case of mistaken identity when football fans mistook him for Steven Gerrard.
On a recent promo trip to Merseyside Thicke was swamped by a mass of fans eager to procure his autograph. However both parties were left slightly confused, especially when the fans realised they had 'Mr. R. Thicke' signed on their cards rather than 'Stevie G'.
A source at the scene said: "It was really weird as Robin and Steven don’t really look that much like each other. But these teens actually thought he was Steven and ran up screaming his name," reports The Metro newspaper.
"Weirdly, Robin answered to it and just started chatting to them and posing for pictures. He did look rather confused when they asked him about thoughts he had for upcoming games."
Meanwhile Robin Thicke has still been dominating headlines, courting controversy by claiming 'people in the UK don't get Blurred Lines - but kids do'.
