The Water Rats venue in Kings Cross is closed for the time being after the ceiling collapsed directly onto the stage.
On Sunday (October 13th) the venue was witness to a cave-in just moments before band Israel Nash were due to take to the stage to soundcheck. The gig was later moved to the Slaughtered Lamb at short notice.
Gigs for the rest of the week have been cancelled up until Friday while the damage is repaired. The venue is host to a slew of upcoming acts often hosting up to 4 contrasting bands in one evening.
