Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams has revealed fears that the band's fans would hate their plans for 2014 cruise, Parahoy!, thinking it would be something 'older people' would do.

Fortunately for the band, fans are desperately trying to snap up tickets to the 2014 event, which sails from Miami to the Bahamas on 7-11 March next year. Artists confirmed for the event include Tegan & Sara, Shiny Toy Guns and New Found Glory. In a new interview with US website Radio.com, Williams has discussed plans, hopes and fears for the ambitious high seas event.

"We didn’t want to come out in 2014 and do the same two or three tours we do every year," Williams says in the interview. "It never gets old, but we’d like to try something different."

She adds that her first thought, when pitched the idea of Parahoy! was: "There’s no way any of our fans are going to be into this. They’re going to think we’re nuts and it’s something older people do."

"From the minute we announced it, it’s been incredible because so many people all over the world are trying to get tickets," she adds. "They’re excited to come out and we’ve got all these amazing bands so we’re going to do it up."

The band recently celebrated Gold sales of their self-titled Paramore album

The band kick of their US tour this week (15 October, 2013) in Seattle, Washington and Williams also spoke of her excitement at performing on dry land on their upcoming shows.

"It feels much like when we first started, except a lot more people are coming to the shows," she says. "I can tell you how big and better the show is, because I think it is.

"But it’s really just nice to be out there with the fans and connecting with people through our music. There’s nothing that compares to that."
