Peter Murphy, frontman with goth rockers Bauhaus has been sentenced to three years probation on hit and run and drug possession charges.

The British musician was found guilty of hit and run offences, causing injury through driving while under the influence and possessing crystal meth.

He was sentenced on 10 October to three years probabion and ordered to attend 45 days of Narcotics Anonymous meetings by a court in Los Angeles. He initially pleaded not guilty to the charges, but later pleaded no contest to the charges.

The charges related to an incident which took place in March 2013, in which Murphy drove his managers car into another vehicle on the Ventura Freeway in LA.
