Arctic Monkeys and Paul McCartney will be topping the bill on this week's episode of Later With Jools Holland.
Jools will be looking even more smug than usual this week as he has pulled off something of a musical coup by getting two of the biggest names in music to appear on his show on the same night.
Seheffield's Arctic Monkeys will be performing songs from highly rated and record-breaking new album AM, which has also been nominated for the year's Mercury Music Prize. Meanwhile, Sir Paul McCartney is still trying to gain national forgiveness for his antics last summer, when his appearances at the Jubilee, Olympics and pretty much everything else seemed to test even the Queen's patience at times. He is hoping redemption will come in the form of his latest long player, New. Reactions to previews of the album have been widely positive, and as long as he doesn't finish with Hey Jude his performance is sure to be well-received.
They are joined on the show by newcomer Benjamin Clementine, Texan guitarist Gary Clark Jr and, um, Katy B. You can't have it all I suppose. Jools Holland will be talking to legendary disco band Earth, Wind and Fire at the piano. Let's just hope that for once he doesn't play the bloody thing.

The episode will air on BBC Two at 10pm tomorrow night (Tuesday 22 October), before an extended version of the programme with extra performances will air at 11.05pm on BBC Two on Friday 25 October.
Queens of the Stone Age, Disclosure, John Grant, Primal Scream, Haim, The Strypes, Johnny Marr, Melt Yourself Down, Miguel, OMD and Yeah Yeah Yeahs are all confirmed for future episodes of the show.
