Blink 182's eponymous fifth studio album, released in 2003, marked a huge departure in the band's sound - and is hailed by Mark, Tom and Travis as a real 'turning point' in their career. 

The record was a more mature collection of tracks than the previous toilet humour of releases Take Off Your Pants and Jacket and and Enema Of the State. However, the gamble paid off, with critics hailing the album and singles 'Feeling This' and 'I Miss You' becoming instant fan classics.

With the news the California trio will be playing a series of intimate gigs in honour of the tenth anniversary of the release of Blink 182, we take a look at what went on behind the scenes, from Robert Smith's guest spot to the "musical labatory" that went into the creation of the record.
