David Bowie's unheard Radio Show, will be broadcast on BBC 6 Music, today (23 October, 2013). The 15 minute radio programme was recorded in 1973 and was to help promote his Pin Ups album.

The show is presented under Bowie's real name, David Jones, where he plays five tracks from the album: 'Rosalyn', 'Here Comes The Night', 'I Wish You Would', 'Sorrow', and 'I Can't Explain' - he also talks about the contemporary London music scene.

The show was made with Ken Scott, who had previously worked with Bowie on his albums; Hunky Dory, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars, as well as Aladdin Sane. See below

6 Music will broadcast the show throughout the day, to mark forty years since Pin Ups' release . Segments will also feature on; Shaun Keaveny, Lauren Laverne, Radcliffe & Maconie, Steve Lamacq and Marc Riley shows. Listen to Bowie's Pin Ups album, below:

Nigel Reeve, who overlooks Bowie's back catalogue was in shock when he "discovered it during some research several years ago. It was in an old tape vault on 1/4" tape with simply the words 'Radio Show' written on it. This is such a rare find. No one knew of its existence, apart from David and Ken. To play it for the first time was quite simply a jaw-dropping moment."

Tune in to the show, tomorrow, here
