In perhaps one of the strangest casting moves of the year, it has been confirmed that Marilyn Manson has been chosen to play Peter Pan's shadow in an upcoming TV show.
According to reports from Rolling Stone, Manson will be starring in US fantasy show 'Once Upon a Time' - based on the classic childhood story. However, this is not the family friendly take on the tale that we saw in say the classic kiddy film 'Hook' for example - rather Manson will be playing an evil incarnation of the shadow.
Talking to Rolling Stone, the producers spoke of why they chose Manson for the part: "We've always been enormous fans of Marilyn Manson, we wanted to cast someone with the vocal ability to make our skin crawl."
They went on to state that Manson's character would be more interested in "kidnapping and soul-stealing," as opposed to the mischief seen in books and films before.
In other weird and wonderful Manson news it was recently reported that while filming his role for Eastbound and Down, the shock-rocker trashed his hotel room leaving sex toys and red liquid at the scene.
