Badly Drawn Boy is alleged to have a heckler to 'fuck off and die' during a tribute show for Elliott Smith last night.

The show was taking place at The Windmill in Brixton to mark ten years since Smith was tragically found dead. The Mercury Prize-winning Badly Drawn Boy was headlining the concert when an audience member spoke out in protest.

NME reports that a member of the crowd shouted: "Elliott wouldn't have wanted this," during his set, before Badly Drawn Boy called him a "c**t" and told him to "fuck off and die" and urged him to leave.

Windmill gig promoter Tim Perry confirmed  to NME that despite losing one member of the audience, the gig sold out and raised over £2,000 for the charity Mind, in memory of Smith.

Badly Drawn Boy, real name Damon Michael Gough, is yet to comment on the incident.
