Angel Haze has discussed speculation over her own sexuality on a cover version of Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' equality anthem 'Same Love' as part of her #30GOLD rap covers/freestyle series. Listen below.
This is not only a cover, but a display of her creative lyrical flair, whilst expressing personal experiences and pleading for equal rights for the LGBTQ. From the offset, we know we're in for a personal journey when she starts the song with "Hi mum, I'm really scared right now".

The rapper addresses fans "this is for you, knowing who you are" and even uses "we" several times throughout the cover - linking herself personally with the emotion and experiences behind the song. As an artist she has been linked to much controversy over her sexuality, and has never implicitly spoken out - she's taken to the song to say "no I'm not gay, no I'm not straight, and I sure as hell am not bisexual, damn it I am whoever I am when I am".
Angel Haze spits and hopes; "here is to the moment that things will change"
