Internet radio station SiriusXM is to launch a channel dedicated exclusively to all things David Bowie. It will run from 30th October to 12th November.
Fans will have the chance to listen for the first time to five exclusive new tracks from The New Day Extra, which is released on 5th November. The channel will play nothing but Bowie songs past, present and future.
The station has promised rarities such as unheard alternative takes, rarities and covers. The list of artists who will be heard covering the iconic star's songs over the fourteen days is admittedly impressive. Beck, Nirvana, Tears For Fears, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Duran Duran, and Dinosaur Jr amongst others can be heard on the station.
The exclusive five songs, previously unreleased tracks from the extended The Next Day Extra, will be available until the 5th November when the extended album is relelased. From that day on until 12th November it will be wall to wall hits from the Thin White Duke's archives. As much as we love the man, after listening to the songs non-stop for that long seven days might feel more like 'Five Years'.
