Alex Turner's parents Penny and David Turner are reportedly turning his old bedroom into a museum, that he admits is beginning to look like the Elvis Memphis Museum 'Graceland' in Tennesse.

The Arctic Monkeys frontman, who chooses to stay at his childhood home when he frequents his hometown of Sheffield in South Yorkshire, has admitted that it's not quite how it used to be as his clearly rather proud parents have begun to construct a shrine to their son.

Speaking to The Guardian in a recent interview the Arctic Monkey's frontman stated: ''They're turning it into a museum. It's going to be like Graceland''.

We sincerely hope this is not a joke.

The 27-year-old singer has remained very close to his parents as they supported his decision to ditch higher education in order to concentrate on the band. However Turner has recently admitted that he has banned her from various shows in the belief that it might force him to behave on stage and shy away from any big stunts: ''I asked if, in future, we could check which festival she wants to go to and which ones I'm playing at. I absolutely love her though, don't get me wrong''.

Meanwhile the Arctic Monkeys are continuing their path towards world domination with their huge Earls Court gig taking place at the weekend. Read the Gigwise review here.
