Linkin Park are no certainly strangers to remix collaborations. Their somewhat controversial remix album Reanimation and collaboration with Jay Z turned many of their loyal fans against them and was slated by many music critics, but it definitely showed their great potential as an evolving band.

So with the experiences gained from them, its clear that their ears were pricked up and listening for their latest remix album Recharged.

The first track 'A Light That Never Comes' is one to whet the appetites of what Linkin Park have to offer in the future; collaborated with dance maestro Steve Aoki, the distinct rap bars from Mike Shinoda and clean vocals from Chester Bennington and producing talent of Aoki deliverto the best of each one of their abilities. The band truly have dug deep into their little black book as along with Aoki, the sextet have brought all the best and brightest from all corners of the current music world to work on Recharged.

A promising sign is from their own Mike Shinoda on his fantastic remixes on 'Castle Of Glass' and 'Victimized', Shinoda has always shown great promise as a musician but as a producer there is surely a great potential in the waiting. Recharged’s other shining remixes come from dubstep stars KillSonik on 'Lost in the Echo' and Datsik on 'Until it Breaks'; both with a phenomenal bassline flows and crescendo buildups, its sure to satisfy many dubstep lovers.

Dance and house fans will certainly have their heads turned to the amazing remixes of 'Powerless' by Enferno and 'Burn it Down' by Tom Swoon turning them from rock songs into potential Ibiza club anthems.

All unshackled from their nu metal roots, Linkin Park are looking forward and never back, could Recharged be a sign of what’s to come?
