Rihanna has unveiled her bizarre cover for British GQ in which she features a modern day, sexy medusa type.

The R&B superstar was 'directed' in the shoot by acclaimed artist Damien Hirst for the December issue of the men's magazine, which marks the 25th anniversary of the publication. The Bajan star is portrayed with, unsurprisingly, no clothes on, sporting creepy contact lenses and a nest of snakes on her head.

Watch the video for Rihanna's 'Pour It Up' below:

The pairing of Hirst and Rihanna seems fitting, with the pair both being controversial figures - although admittedly for fairly different things. Hirst is known for being a member of the infamous Young British Artist collective of the early 90s and pickling cows in formaldehyde, whilst Rihanna is noted for her racy R&B hits and flashing her crotch in her music videos.

Rihanna excitedly tweeted about her reptile co-stars after the shoot, telling fans: "Love playing with dominant animals! These 2 were double the trouble, but they're superstars!!!"

The 'Diamonds' singer is in the last month of her epic Diamonds World Tour, which finishes on November 15th in New Orleans. The tour hasn't exactly gone without a hitch - it was recently reported her tweets about an explicit Thailand sex show she visited during her tour has led to the arrest of the club owner, whilst fans in Johannesburg accused the singer of miming.
