After a long wait for fans, Beck has announced that he will release his new album Morning Phase in February 2014.
The follow-up to 2008's Modern Guilt will be released on Capitol Records and will be the singer-songwriters first full album in six years.
In a press release the record is said to work as a companion piece to his 2002 album Sea Change, with many of the same artists making up the roster on the record. The record features an impressive list of musicians including: Justin Meldal-Johnsen, Joey Waronker, Smokey Hormel, Roger Joseph Manning Jr, and Jason Falkner.

Talking directly of Morning Phase, the press release says that it “harkens back to the stunning harmonies, song craft and staggering emotional impact of that record, while surging forward with infectious optimism.” A full on tracklist and further details will be released in the near future.
Beck is also planning another album following on from Morning Phase, described as a 'self-contained acoustic piece'.
