Former NERD singer turned mass collaborator Pharrell Williams has revealed his plans for 2014 -  which includes teaming up with film director Hanz Zimmer to soundtrack the next instalment in the Spiderman franchise.

The US music producer has had quite the year in 2013 with No.1 hits 'Get Lucky' with Daft Punk and the ever-so slightly controversial 'Burred Lines' with Robin Thicke (but you knew that anyway). Now he plans to collaborate with Usher, Beyonce, Ed Sheeran, and Nelly among others in 2014 according to an interview with Billboard.

But the most exciting news is that he's nabbed the chance to make the score for next years The Amazing Spiderman 2 with director Hans Zimmer. This isn't the first time the two have worked together either having previously made the soundtrack for Despicable Me and music for the Academy Awards.

When asked about his musical projects in the months to come, Pharrell responded: "Ed Sheeran. Usher. I’m going back in with T.I. Beyonce. Jennifer Hudson. Nelly has this really big record named 'Rick James'. That’s my jam. Hans Zimmer and I are scoring The Amazing Spiderman 2."

It will be interesting to see spidey swinging along to the funk-filled grooves of Pharell's recent hits, right? We're sure he'll have something a little differnt in store for the web-spinning action though.

So 2014 looks set to be even bigger than this year for the multi-platform singer who plans to keep his music as upbeat as ever. There may be some more number ones in store for Pharrell yet.
