Jake Bugg has spoken out to cricise Britney Spear's entourage after, being shocked by how over protective of her they are.
Recently, the pair appeared on the same television show together, giving the 'Lightning Bolt' singer a window into what it is like to have a huge entourage around you at all times.
''Britney was nice and said hello to me," he told the Daily Star, "those stars have such a massive number of people it's daft. Staff on the show were saying to her entourage, 'I'm just going to stick a bit of tape on this microphone, is that OK?' when I was setting up. I was going: 'Just fucking stick it on there'."
"They should let people be who they want to be, not turn them into some superstar."
Bugg's self-titled debut album is nominated for this year's Mercury Prize - with the winner being announced tonight (30 October, 2013). He finds himself up against the likes of David Bowie, Disclosure and Jame Blake. However in typical Bugg fashion he seems very relaxed about the whole proceeding, saying: ''I'm not that bothered. I'm not in music to get involved with prizes. I don't see it as a competition. I feel the same about chart positions. I care more about making the best records I can."
The singer also added, that the public can have a skewed vision of the music industry. ''Everyone wanted to talk to me about money, going: 'You must own loads of limos now.' The music industry isn't like that any more," he said.
