In yet another tribute to the legendary Lou Reed, the Killers covered The Velvet Underground's 'Pale Blue Eyes' at the Life Is Beautiful Festival on Sunday night. Watch their version below.

The homecoming gig saw the rock band give a live performance of the song after frontman Brandon Flowers admitted to the audience that he attempted to "rip-off" Reed's 'Transformer' in their single 'All These Things That I've Done.'

The Killers gave an acoustic performance of 'Pale Blue Eyes' in memory of the late music legend. Flowers lead on vocals singing a heart-felt dressed down version of the song as a guitar and percussion played out the backing track.

The rendition was met by cheers and screams from the audience as Flowers sang out 'Pale Blue Eyes' which was cut down to under three minutes of what was originally a five minute song.

The Killers collaborated with Reed back in 2007 with song 'Tranquillize' featuring him on vocals which is on the bands compilations album 'Sawdust'.

The tribute is just one of many for the passing of Lou Reed this week including Arcade Fire, Twin Shadow and Arctic Monkeys.
