Sky Ferreira has further defended her much-publicised arrest for possession of ecstasy in September, describing the class A substance as 'a happy drug'.
Ferreira told Rolling Stone that the incident was 'totally taken out of context'. However, the singer admitted she's "lost a lot of modelling contracts" because of the fallout.

Ferreira, who has been working the interview circuit tirelessly in the run up to the release of debut album Night Time, My Time, defended the class A drug she was arrested with, saying: "Like every song is a song about molly. That's life. I'm not saying that people should do ecstasy, but at least it's a happy drug."
Ferreira was arrested in September in New York for possession of ecstasy, alongside boyfriend and DIIV frontman Zachary Cole Smith, who allegedly was charged with possession of heroin.
The singer also told Rolling Stone of her desire to work with french electronic duo Daft Punk and pop legend Cher, who she dubbed a "goddess", alongside more surprising choices Paris Hilton ("totally cool") and reality star Courtney Stodden.
Night Time, My Time was released in the US on October 29th to generally positive reviews, recieving a score of 75/100 on music review aggregator Metacritic. However, it's not clear as to when and if the record will be released in the UK.
