The Calling frontman Alex Band has filed a lawsuit against bandmate and lead guitarist Aaron Kamin for 'disappearing' and refusing to cooperate with his efforts of making a comeback.

Bear with us, because this is a slightly confusing one. You'll probably remember The Calling for their 2005 catchy catchy pop-rock hit 'Wherever You Will Go'.

Frontman Alex Band made headlines again when it was reported he had been brutally abducted, beaten and robbed following the band's reunion performance at a festival in Michigan in August, which lead guitarist Aaron Kamin did not feature in.

Shortly afterwards, Kamin issued a statement announcing he was taking "appropriate steps" to "protect the brand 'The Calling' and also protect the group's fans, so they won't become disappointed if they come to concerts expecting to see a truly reunited version of 'The Calling' only to see Alex and his current group of backing musicians."

However, frontman Band now says he too is taking steps to sue Kamin, claiming he "has essentially disappeared from the public eye" and is making their efforts of a full comeback almost impossible.

He claims Kamin refused to support the band on tour following the success of 'Wherever You Will Go', forcing them to find a replacement. Despite this, they invited him to work on their second album, but the recording process apparently turned "nightmarish", according to the official complaint, due to Kamin prioritizing projects with other artists.

Band alleges more trouble followed, with Kamin admitting at one point he had no interest in continuing with the band and going absent for long stretches of time during tours. Band is now seeking judicial declaritionof his rights and attorney's fees. Kamin is yet to comment.
