Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger has responded to allegations from Katy Perry that he hit on her when she was 18, saying that he absolutely did not.
Earlier this week, the Prism singer said in an interview with an Australian radio station that the rock icon had tried to get rather hot and heavy with her before she broke out into the charts. Speaking to Nova FM Perry said that she worked as a backing dancer on one of Jagger's solo projects and he took her out to dinner in an attempt to win her affections.
"I actually went to dinner with [Jagger] one time, and he hit on me when I was like 18," she said. "Yeah but that was a long time ago, and since then he's been very kind and I got to sing 'Beasts of Burden' on their stage with him on their tour on the Rolling Stone tour."
Obviously a rock star like Mick Jagger has a woman bedding reputation to uphold, however in this case the total opposite is true as he has come out to vehemently deny all allegations. A representative for Jagger released the following statement: "Mick Jagger categorically denies that he has ever made a pass at Katy Perry...Perhaps she is confusing him with someone else."
The Rolling Stones will release Sweet Summer Sun - Hyde Park Live, on 11 November, 2013.
