Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner has admitted that he may be suffering from a bout of writers block.
Turner is perhaps one of the most prolific songwriters of his generation, however it appears that his creative tap may have run dry over as of late as the singer has revealed that he hasn't had an idea for a new song in months.
"I've got absolutely no clue what to do next, I'm barren. I've not had a song idea in months, seriously," Turner said talking to the Daily Star newspaper.
Talking to Gigwise at the Mercury Awards on Wednesday (October 30) Turner also said that when it comes to writing new material he hasn't "so much as picked up a guitar or sat at a piano in months."
Fortunately, AM was only released last month, so Turner has a while before he's expected to find his muse again.
This seems to top off what has been a rather bad week for Turner as he has recently been struck down by laryngitis forcing the cancellation of a series of high profile Arctic Monkeys shows on their current AM tour.
