James Blake's victory at the Mercury Music Prize has given his album Overgrown a huge boost in this week's album charts, with the record re-entering the top 40 at No.33.

It is traditional for the winner's album to do particularly well for a week or two after the prize is awarded, but this also goes for the other nominees. This has certainly also been the case this year, with Arctic Monkeys, Laura Mvula, Foals and Jake Bugg also flying up the charts.

Mvula's Sing To The Moon has crept back into the top 50, with Jake Bugg climbing to 19. Blake will be hoping that this initial boost will turn into long term benefit from the award, as this is not always the case.

Blake was an outsider for this year's award, but you can read here why we think it was the right decision.
